I'll second metamage's remarks.  I know I dislike still life drawings, but they do force you to think a lot more about line, composition, contrast, balance, tone -- in short, all the things you really need to become skilled at your art.  The emotion and feeling and heart can come later, and built on top of your "craft".

That being said, I like the definition you have in the blossoms.  You need more variation in tone so they don't all face into one another, but I think there are some interesting things going on here.
